The return of the podcast!

The FiberCast will return on the 15th of March with a new episode focusing on alpacas.  I'll be discussing how we got into alpacas, the two types of alpaca fiber, and spinning alpaca.

Future episodes are planned as follows:

April 1 - an interview with Nancy Zeller of Long Ridge Farm on dyeing, focusing on Earthhues Natural Dyes.

April 15 - a discussion of spinning really fine, the bi-annual Bothwell Spin-In, and the Longest Thread contest.

No date set yet, but I have requested an interview with Julie of J. Knits Creative Hand-Dyed Yarns.

I am going to try to be a little more organized with the podcast.  I'm working on creating discrete sections.  This will help me out a lot in putting together new shows.

News - announcements about new products, new books, etc.  Please let me know if you have any news to share in this section.

Events - upcoming fiber events - Stitches, fiber festivals, etc.  Please feel free to send me webpage links, dates, any info you would like included.

The feature - interview or discussion topic.  Please send any comments or questions you might have on upcoming topics, questions for future guests, suggestions for interviews, etc.

Listener feedback, voicemail and email.

If you have any questions for Nancy, please feel free to send them (or leave a message on the voicemail line) and we'll be glad to include them in the show!

Sorry there hasn't been a new show in a while

Those of you who know of my regular blog (Fiber Arts & Furry Critters) know that I've been dealing with computer issues.  At this point I think I have everything about ready to go as far as making the next podcast.  I've been busy with other things, though.  Right now I have three alpacas sold, and we're working on the paperwork and testing required for inter-state transport.  Last week the kids were home from school; I've been working on getting ready to put in a small garden; and I've been sleep-deprived for the last two nights while caring for a sick dog.  Indy is now at the vet, and I'm waiting anxiously to find out what's wrong with my buddy.

I hope to have a new podcast ready this weekend.  Sorry to keep you waiting.

Links Updated

I was informed today that some of my links were not working.  The mp3 files for my podcast are actually stored over on libsyn.com, and some of the file names there had changed (Episodes 1 and 3).  The files were still there, I just had to update the links to them.  Everything should now be working and available.  Files downloaded through iTunes were not affected.  Thank you for your patience!
