Tagged!
I've been tagged by Mary to join in the "Picture Me Meme". First the rules, copied from Our Red House, where all this started:
The rules are simple: post a picture of yourself on your blog. As some may feel uncomfortable posting a current photo, a baby or childhood picture is fine. Post the picture, tell us the story behind it, copy the logo, and tag three others (without forgetting to tell them that they have been tagged!)
I won't tag others, but I will participate. I don't have any recent photos, but here are a couple from a few years back.
This is Indy, at the start of my dog showing years. This was our first outing outside of training classes - a match, which is a "practice" show. You can see how much attention Indy has - more interested in the photographer, in this picture; later, in shows, he was always far more interested in the judge than in me. He just knew what a handsome boy he is, and that everyone (rightly) loved him! This picture was taken about 8 years ago. I am, of course, the one on the left, holding the leash.
The picture below isn't the clearest, but if I remember correctly, it was taken by one of my kids. This was taken at the Deerfield Fair, in the Farm Museum room where I sit and spin for the duration of the fair. The wheel is a Reeves 24" saxony, which was sold about 1-1/2 or 2 years ago, so the picture is at least that old. Now I use my antique Canadian Production Wheel in the Farm Museum.
Today I'll be sitting here waiting for the propane company to show up. The oven in my kitchen stove died over two weeks ago. It's the stove that came with the house when we moved in 15 years ago, so it has lived a long and useful life. DH and I had been discussing switching to a gas stove instead and this was the perfect opportunity. Now, when the power goes out (which it does frequently during bad weather - the last time was last week, for about three hours) I'll at least be able to make a cup of coffee or cook dinner. Until I moved in here I always had a gas-powered stove, and I'm looking forward to the change.

I love my gas stove. When I worked on a gas stove after only having electric i was amazed at the difference. I don't think I could go back to electric if I wanted to now.
